Assurity Home Maintenance was built on one simple truth: Homeowners and property investors deserve honesty, accountability, and real protection — not surprise bills and excuses.

Before founding Assurity, I spent years working as a maintenance technician for multiple property management companies. And over time, I started to see a pattern that bothered me deeply.

Property owners were being overbilled — constantly. Not because they were careless. Not because their homes were falling apart. But because the system itself rewarded the wrong behavior.

I watched companies replace entire appliances when all they needed was a $20 part. I saw “unrepairable” stamped on work orders simply because the tech didn’t know how — or didn’t care enough — to fix it. And I saw property managers, trained in sales and HR rather than maintenance, forced to trust whatever the tech or supervisor reported, even when it wasn’t accurate.

There was no oversight, no accountability, and no incentive to repair instead of replace.

Building a System of Accountability

I wanted to build a system where profitability meets accountability. A system where the company only succeeds when the homeowner succeeds. A system where repairs are done right the first time — not dragged out, marked up, or replaced unnecessarily.

So we created something different. A true flat‑rate model — not the kind property management companies use, which only covers HR and labor, but a model that includes labor, parts, materials, and even replacement appliances under one predictable monthly price.

When a company is responsible for the full cost — time, labor, and materials — suddenly it becomes very motivated to repair what doesn’t need replacing, to train its W-2 technicians properly, and to ensure every job is done with precision and care. That level of accountability simply doesn’t exist in most property management companies today.
